Our current CASA Volunteer of the Year, Mrs. Priscilla Duffy, was sworn to serve abused and neglected children on February 1st, 2021 in the Worcester County Courts by Judge Peggy Kent and Magistrate Cathy Coates. Priscilla has taken the CASA motto, "CHANGE A CHILDS STORY" to heart. She often seeks the support and advice from the CASA team so that she can better represent her child's wishes to the courts and make recommendations that serve in the child's best interest. Priscilla can often be found in the CASA office engaging in an activity to help her better understand how to work her new laptop, getting help writing her court report, working with staff to better understand the OPTIMA database, or just dropping off a lunch of chicken salad and crackers to the staff. She never quits! Outside of CASA, Priscilla can be found helping the senior population within her church get to their appointments or simply taking them to run errands. Priscilla has kept us here at LSCASA on our toes with her constant pursuit of knowledge. We truly appreciate her unwavering service. Even when life gets a little tough, she continues to go the distance! Congratulations Priscilla, on such a great accomplishment!!
